30 Years On Stage with Our CEO and the Behind-the-Scenes of Opole 2025

In this issue: the 30th anniversary of Rafał Mrzygłocki, behind the scenes of the Opole 2025 multimedia production, and reflections on what truly builds a powerful stage experience.

System, not just a stage: how staging works at the festival level

This year, the iconic National Festival of Polish Song quite literally received a new stage. Thanks to cutting-edge multimedia solutions delivered in part by ARAM, the 62nd edition became a technological manifesto of how tradition and innovation can seamlessly coexist.

The 62nd National Festival of Polish Song in Opole is one of the most demanding stage productions in Poland. The ARAM team rose to the occasion, delivering multimedia solutions that transformed the stage into an interactive canvas of emotion.

An impressive scope of ARAM’s delivery

Our scope included comprehensive support in multimedia technology, covering the delivery and installation of the latest LED and projection systems, media servers, as well as equipment setup and operation:

  • 106 m² of Magic Stage – a high-strength multimedia platform

  • 267 m² of URM 3.9 LED screens – high-brightness LED with excellent contrast

  • 370 m² of transparent LED panels – for visually deep, layered scenic compositions

  • 40 m² of 5.9 mm pixel pitch LED screens

  • 152 m² of M5 LED floor – enabling dynamic content to be displayed directly underfoot

  • Barco UDX projectors – used for spectacular mapping on selected scenic elements

  • disguise media servers – the heart of the system, responsible for synchronizing, playing back and controlling all multimedia content

You see the stage – but what you’re really looking at is the process.

Behind every spectacular stage effect, there’s more than just equipment - there’s a system of work that begins long before the first light and sound check.

At the 62nd National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, the ARAM team – including technicians, a dedicated Project Manager and logistics support – was on-site 18 days before the event began. From day one, all actions followed a detailed schedule.

It’s this kind of approach that turns staging into more than scenography – into a fully integrated environment for storytelling.

Thanks to close collaboration, mutual trust and precise organization, it was possible to create a stage that became the heart of this year’s Opole festival. Once again, our sincere applause and thanks to:

Scenography: Giorgos Stylianou
Lighting: Marcin Michna
Video content: Piotr Szabliński, Piotr Maruszak, Marcin Bania
Technology: ARAM – multimedia, ATM System – lighting, FormaX – scenography

The harmony of people, vision, and technology - that’s what creates a performance that stays with you.

STAGING TIP OF THE MONTH – INSPIRED BY OPOLE

Don’t be afraid of transparent LED screens.
They’re a great way to combine lighting and multimedia effects seamlessly - plus, large transparent LED surfaces are also less susceptible to wind.

Every great stage has its origin. Ours began 30 years ago.

To mark the 30th anniversary of our CEO Rafał Mrzygłocki’s career, we’ve prepared a special article – a behind-the-scenes look at the event industry through the eyes of someone who has been shaping its standards in Poland and abroad for three decades.

In a world where almost anyone can write about the event industry today, it’s becoming harder and harder to distinguish between words and real experience.
Some observe events from the outside and report what’s visible.
Others are the ones creating them from within – designing, producing, and bringing stage visions to life. Day by day. Stage by stage.

And then there are those who’ve been doing it for thirty years.

That’s how long it’s been since 17-year-old Rafał Mrzygłocki took the helm of ARAM and began a journey that would redefine staging in Poland. Three decades behind the scenes of hundreds of productions. Tens of thousands of decisions that never made it into the spotlight – yet changed the way we think about the stage today.

This isn’t just another anniversary tribute.
It’s a rare opportunity to see our industry through the lens of someone who built it from the ground up.

Read it – because this kind of perspective doesn’t come around often.

"Don’t wait for the perfect moment.
Start before you’re ready – and grow along the way."
– Rafał Mrzygłocki
