STAGING STORIES: Storms, Stages, and Screens at Męskie Granie
A Backstage Journey through the biggest festival tour in Poland
Daria Zawialow || Męskie Granie 2024 in Poznań
9 weeks, 7 cities and 2 many top artists to count
This year, Męskie Granie (“Men’s Playing”) tour, sponsored by the Żywiec brand, celebrated its 15th anniversary and toured seven Polish cities.
You may have seen numerous photos and videos from those concerts, but you probably haven’t seen the backstage side of it all…
Let us show you then!
An outstanding tour and the awful weather
After last year’s finale in Żywiec, where heavy rains forced an evacuation, the teams were worried about bad weather as we started this year’s tour in the same city.
Thankfully, the weather stayed rather calm, and setup went smoothly…
But the luck didn’t last!
In Szczecin, we faced some of the strongest winds we’ve seen in a long time, and in Warsaw, a heavy downpour suddenly halted the entire day’s work on the stages and AV setup.
❝ The atmosphere of collaboration with other teams and among ourselves made it so that no challenges were too daunting, and the positive energy fueled us to keep going. Agnieszka Stanny, Project Manager at ARAM |
Second day of stage build in Warsaw. Just before the downpour!
#AramTeam on-siteDuring multimedia setups on the Main Stage in 6 cities, 12 technicians were involved. In Warsaw, we prepared two stages, bringing the overall number of technicians on-site to 24! The installation of screens is the visible part of the work, followed by other, less noticeable tasks, such as securing the LED screens, wiring them, and connecting the FOH (Front of House) to the stage. Our team included specialists in media servers, processors, rigging, and a manager who ensured that the team worked within the designated time. | Crucial decisions were being made |
Cooperation with the lighting team, which was responsible for mounting the lighting on our screens, was crucial. The collaboration went very smoothly, and where necessary, we jointly constructed elements on the stage. | Aram team setting up LED screens |
Various conditions challenged us, but in some cities, with the support of the logistics department, we managed to meet the challenge and complete the setup in just 13 hours!

Streching those muscles while carrying 15kg screens | Looking good, also from FOH point of view |
Transparent LED screens were another celebrity of this tour | Always in a good mood! |
Tech teams working on the tour were invited on stage during the Warsaw concert’s finale - thank you to the tour promoter, who appreciated our work this much! @LiveisEvent
A big bow and respect to the technical teams who have often worked for many hours in the heat and rain without a break. Ladies and Gentlemen, it would never have been possible without you. A big chapeau bas!
